We are looking for a shipper/Receiver to perform various jobs in the shipping department including packing, palletizing, completing freight bills and other necessary forms to assure the transportation companies arrive and the product is shipped to the appropriate customer.

This job requires the successful candidate to perform various jobs in the shipping department including packing, palletizing, completing freight bills, and other necessary forms to assure the transportation companies arrive and the product is shipped to the appropriate customer. Work independently and exercise judgment in assuring the completed products are adequately packaged and promptly shipped. Perform a moderate amount of clerical work including shipping reports and computer entries and maintain the finished good stock program. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Other Responsibilities:

• Able to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Fill out paperwork and enter computer transactions.
• Must pass fork truck training.
• Pass a color identification test.
• Must have good trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.
• Follow standard work instructions.
• Have satisfactory attendance and performance record.
• Able to lift 50 lb. reels
• Position requires overtime
• Train in Lean methods and participate in team projects such as set-up reduction to help reduce through-put time and increase productivity
• Load and unload trucks.
• Properly receive raw materials, computer entries, label materials and place in inventory.
• May be required to evaluate work center issues with materials, machines and workloads and report current status to supervisors.
• Perform quality checks.
• Perform inventory cycle counts.
• Follow safety and housekeeping policies.
• Understanding and adherence to the Kanban scheduling system
• Job requires standing and/or walking for long periods of time

• Required: 2+ years of shipping/receiving experience
• Required: Fork truck experience
• Experience with import and export of good is helpful, but not required.
