Location: Middletown, NY

Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

Hours: Saturday 5:30A-9:30A and 12:00P-4:30P

Sunday - 5:30A-9:30A and 12:00P-4:30P

This is a per-diem position

Job Description:

In this role you will:

Have the opportunity to work in the Hudson Valley, working Monday-Friday shifts, transporting individuals with disabilities between their homes, programs, and other locations in a safe and efficient manner. ?This position originates in Middletown, NY. Travel throughout Orange County is required. Perform other duties as assigned.

The primary duty entails conveying people on van, or other light vehicle between locations.

The driver is expected to greet customers, help them enter the bus or vehicle, and assist them with any special needs.

In addition, the shuttle drivers role also involves keeping the bus neat and making sure it is always in working condition.

His/her work description also entails checking the car before and after each days run and noting and issues.

He/she is expected to be an expert driver and must comply with all necessary instructions guiding the operation of the vehicle within the area.

The driver is also expected to possess exceptional customer service skills to be able to relate effectively with his/her passengers.

The very nature of the job requires meeting different kinds of people. So, the driver is expected to be friendly but professional in relating with passengers.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

+ Excellent driving record required

+ Some related driving experience

+ Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus

+ Some weekends may be required

+ Bilingual English and Spanish speaking a plus

+ Valid Driver's License
