Job DescriptionThe Role:We are looking for a reliable and motivated addition to our Quality Assurance department. The QATech position is responsible for batch paperwork review, escalation of batch-relatednon-conformances, and guidance for production employees. The employee should have a willingnessto grow and adapt with our developing processes, as well as an interest in process development. Theideal candidate is comfortable working on their feet, self-motivated, and has intermediate computerskills and math.Job Duties and Responsibilities:•Review bulk batch material and batch ticket documentation•Investigate and issue rework instructions for batch issues, final disposition of productionbatches.•Escalate errors and issues to Quality Assurance Manager•Maintain laboratory equipment including Water Activity meter.•Support the Quality Control /Quality Assurance team by documenting, monitoring, andverifying procedures to ensure the safe and quality production of product•Maintain a retain library for products, filing away retains as needed.•Scan and file batch related documentation•Send out batch samples for microbial testing.•Move approved material to respective departments.•Interact with production staff to troubleshoot and escalate quality related manufacturing issues.•Other duties as required.RequirementsExperience, Abilities and Qualities Required:•The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter, detail oriented, and has productionexperience.•Valid driver's license•Minimum of a 2-year associate degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Food Manufacturing, orat least 2 years of experience in a food production facility.•Knowledge and understanding of food safety, HACCP, SSOP, GMPs, GFCO.•Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the shift.•Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.•Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Able to work in a fast-paced environment.•Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive•Previous CRM or ERP experience preferred.•Strong attention to detail•Knowledge and understanding of aseptic technique.•Able to maintain an organized work environment.•Must follow all health and safety procedures and regulations as dictated by the organizationand the state Education/Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.•PCQI certified and HACCP Certified a plus!Travel: No travel necessaryBenefitsBenefits:•Dental insurance•Health insurance•Paid time off•Vision insuranceJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $22.00 - $26.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per week, day shift onlySchedule:•Monday to FridayWork setting:•Food Processing Plant•In-person•Manufacturing facilityMust Have:•HACCP: 1 year (Required)•Ability to pass a background check•Reliable transportationWork Location:•Onsite in Bend, OR 97701 Relocation: Unavailable Sponsorship: Unavailable
