Where you come in:

  • As the Director of Sensor development, you will lead the development and implementation of improvements on Dexcom’s current glucose sensing product platform as well as lead the development and introduction of novel continuous sensing products expanding Dexcom’s portfolio of connected health solutions.

  • You will play a vital role in developing strategic sensor roadmaps, managing and mentoring a world-class talented team of scientists and engineers, and delivering robust product design solutions to the business and customers we serve.

  • You will be responsible for ensuring industry leading performance in clinical accuracy and real-world use reliability.

  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department – managing budgets and expenses, staffing to support the business need, overseeing the activities of the team, review and approvals of design and change management documentation and design control deliverables.

  • You will present yourself as a role model for leadership behavior across the organization – communication and collaboration, being dependable and delivering results, developing talent and serving with integrity and passion, and thinking big by championing long term scenarios and strategy.

What makes you successful:

  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams focused on sensor product development. Preferably amperometric, voltammetric, and/or potentiometric biosensing applications.

  • Industry-leading expertise in sensor technologies; including latest measurement techniques, state of the art fabrication methods, integration in a measurement system, and functional requirements and characterization best practices. Experience with design, manufacturing, and clinical testing of medical devices preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive product development and influence commercial product strategy. Track record of successful development and commercialization of sensor systems preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple goals and priorities, allocation of resources and staff management, and keeping deliverables on track to meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in leading a technical team of scientists and engineers. Ability to oversee complex projects, manage through risk, and navigate design tradeoffs and uncertainty.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills – passion for motivating and inspiring others.

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presenting technical material.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline with 15+ years of industry experience.

  • 9+ years of successful management experience in relevant industry.

Salary:

$190,100.00 - $316,800.00
