Infosys is seeking a Lead Java Developer

This position’s primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and coordinate for day-to-day deliverables for the team. The chosen candidate will assist in the technical design of large business systems; build applications, interface between applications, understand data security, retention, and recovery. The role holder should be able to research technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions and contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards. They will contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability; contribute expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guide/mentor the team during the build and test phases.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Pennington, NJ or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in Core Java.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 4 to 8 years of experience in Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.
• Experience in multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Experience in agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or Apache STORM/SPARK.
• Experience in database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience in tools like Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, Maven, and Git.
• Certification in Java (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE).

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
