Our Tax Department CORE Compliance Team looking for a Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager to join their team! This is an ideal position for a smart, motivated person who is passionate about delivering strategic value in a collaborative and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a focused ability to take charge and meet tight deadlines, while rapidly furthering their professional development and having fun in this multi-faceted role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Income/Franchise tax returns, estimates and extensions
- Prepare Book/Tax Differences (M adjustments) for Quarterly Provisions and Tax Returns
- Prepare/maintain the Cost Share Model on a quarterly basis for tax provision and tax return purposes
- Prepare quarterly Board slides for various international board meetings leveraging data from the Cost Share Model and other forecasts
- Prepare Legal Entity Trial Balance
- Prepare NOL C/F Schedule, State Apportionment and review Legal Entity filings for Assigned States and Entities
- Review and approve foreign and domestic withholding tax forms
- Process tax withholding remittances including 1042, NR4, CA 592
- Manage various business license renewals, Secretary of State (“SOS”) and LLC fee/tax filings
- Manage Indirect tax filings including monthly/quarterly sales & use tax, business and occupation tax, commercial activity tax, and commercial rent tax
- Manage US and UK Tax Residency Certificates
- Maintain Legal Entity Organization Charts
- Process, research and resolve tax notices as needed
- Support Planning, Controversy and Provision teams on various projects as needed
- Provide business units with tax assistance as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- BA in Accounting or equivalent
- Five or more years of tax experience; some public accounting preferred
- Knowledge of tax compliance (indirect tax compliance a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess problems or unusual situations and create efficient solutions
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills; PowerPoint and familiarity with running SAP/BW reports a plus
- Media and Entertainment Industry experience preferred
- Familiarity with federal & state C-Corp, partnership & LLC returns, indirect tax-property taxes, sales tax, business license, (ASC 740 a plus) Microsoft Office, SAP/BW, other tax software
