Join Meta as our new Director of Treasury and lead the strategic direction of our global Treasury operations. As a key member of our Finance organization, you will drive leadership in cash flow management, investments, financial risk mitigation, working capital, and Treasury infrastructure, ensuring the company's continued growth and success. This role will lead a global team managing and controlling all aspects of treasury activities within the compliance of regulatory requirements, internal controls, and accounting standards. We are seeking an experienced and adaptable leader with proven expertise in global treasury management. You will have experience leading a global team in multiple time zones. You will be responsible for navigating complex financial environments, developing and implementing strategies, and working alongside your team to optimize performance. Your change management skills will be key in fostering cross-functional collaboration and positioning Meta for sustainable growth. This role will report to the Treasurer and VP Corporate Finance.
Director of Treasury Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a high-performing global Treasury team across multiple time zones
- Develop and implement comprehensive Treasury strategies that align with Meta’s objectives
- Manage and optimize cash flow, including working capital requirements
- Oversee all aspects of global treasury operations such as cash management, liquidity forecasting, funding strategies and banking infrastructure
- Develop and implement effective cash management strategies to optimize cash flow across all Meta’s entities
- Responsible for the oversight of the entity short-term and long-term cash forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with company’s liquidity requirements and accurate financial projections
- Lead the management of bank relationships, including negotiating banking agreement and fees
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance treasury operations processes, working collaboratively with Finance business partners
- Continually focus on process improvement and automation, increasing our ability to scale and leverage our team and infrastructure
- Partner closely with internal product and business teams to support and enable business decisions and initiatives
- Lead investment strategies, ensure optimal strategies to maximize returns in alignment with the company’s risk profile and liquidity requirements
- Identify, assess and manage financial risks such as foreign exchange, interest rates and credit risks
- Oversee and ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal risk management policies, operational and SOX controls for Treasury activities
Minimum Qualifications
- 14+ years’ experience in multi-national corporate treasury environment
- 8+ years in a leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Proven track record of managing and developing a high-performance team, with experience leading and managing a globally distributed team
- Proven experience in managing cash, liquidity, investments and foreign exchange
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful Treasury strategies
- Demonstrable understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulations
- Proven analytical skills, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting related to foreign currency and investments
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with proven experience influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and Treasury Management System (FIS preferred)
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
