We are seeking a Director, Information Security Architect to join our global legal organization. This role reports directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and plays a critical role in shaping security architecture as we transition from traditional on-premises environments to a cloud-first model centered on Microsoft 365. This position requires deep expertise in cloud security, enterprise-scale cyber technologies, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and oversee the organization's information security architecture, focusing on cloud-first solutions (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, etc.) while ensuring seamless integration with on-premises environments.
2. Evaluate, recommend, and implement cutting-edge tools to enhance cyber defense capabilities, including Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM).
3. Architect and design solutions aligning with Zero Trust principles, including Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
4. Collaborate with Cyber Engineering and Operations teams to ensure architectural alignment with operational security needs.
5. Conduct security assessments of existing and proposed systems, identifying gaps and recommending solutions that meet compliance, legal, and risk management requirements.
6. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of security architecture, design principles, and system configurations.
7. Act as a subject matter expert on cloud security, network, endpoint, mobile, and data security by providing guidance and mentorship across the organization.
8. Stay current with emerging security threats, trends, and technologies, ensuring the firm's architecture remains robust and adaptable to evolving risks.
9. Engage with stakeholders, including IT, legal, and compliance teams, to align security objectives with broader organizational goals.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (preferred); Master’s degree (preferred).
2. 10+ years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a senior architect or equivalent role.
3. Experience in professional services and working with global organizations strongly preferred.
4. Strong familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Critical Security Controls.
5. Proven expertise in designing and implementing cloud security controls, particularly within Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
6. Hands-on experience with threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management in hybrid IT environments.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset towards security innovation.
8. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
9. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or Azure Security Engineer are strongly preferred.

Interview Process:

1. Initial interview with HR.
2. Second round with the CISO.
3. Final rounds (3rd and 4th) with the team.
