CFS has partnered with a local Real Estate Developer who is seeking a

Senior Accountant

to join our team in

Stamford, CT . This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions for the organizations portfolio of apartment communities. The Residential Property Accountant will report to the Residential Assistant Controller and play a key role in financial reporting, reconciliations, and budget preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare financial reporting and analysis for multiple residential properties. Maintain monthly work papers and ensure accuracy in financial records. Assist with work papers and analyses required for annual audits, income tax, and sales tax filings. Support the preparation of annual budgets. Collaborate with operations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable teams as needed. Record monthly journal entries and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required. 3-5 years of experience in real estate accounting and financial reporting. Strong ability to manage deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with real estate accounting software preferred.
