Accounting Manager

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager: Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP Lead the reconciliation of operating and payroll bank accounts to the general ledger Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper financial documentation Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes Prepare detailed financial schedules and reports for audits and inquiries Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management for decision-making Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and systems Assist with payroll functions and ensure accuracy in payroll processing Manage and track fixed assets and capital expenditures
Preferred Qualifications of the Accounting Manager: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a manufacturing setting Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas CPA is a plus Public accounting experience is required Strong communication and leadership skills
