We are excited to announce that we are now recruiting for the 2025-2026 class of our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Residency Program !
This 12-month program , running from November 1, 2025 - October 31, 2026 , provides new Psychiatric NP graduates with a unique opportunity to apply their education and refine their clinical skills as they transition into professional practice.
Program Highlights:
• Six-month rotation on various inpatient units, including:
• CPEP
• Adult Inpatient Psychiatry
• Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry
• Consultation Liaison Services
• Six-month rotation in the outpatient clinic, working with a caseload under supervision, including:
• Children
• Adolescents
• Adults
• Geriatric patients
During these rotations, residents will work closely with supervising clinicians to gain hands-on experience and enhance their clinical competency.
In addition to clinical training, residents will also participate in:
• Weekly Grand Rounds
• Didactic training classes
• Journal Club
• Opportunities to engage in leadership and quality improvement activities
• Case discussions in Psychopharmacology

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program, New York State licensed and ANCC board certified as a PMHNP by August 15, 2025.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with technology systems. Prior experience in Psychiatry.
