The Project Engineer assists Project Managers while building a strong foundation for individual career growth. A typical work week is divided between office and field responsibilities, which offer excellent opportunities to learn many aspects of the business of construction.
Responsibilities include:
- Manages all aspects of project document control for office and site locations
- Communicates project status updates consistently with project leadership and stakeholders
- Coordinates subcontract needs and manages related documents
- Prepares and updates material delivery schedules
- Reviews, manages and distributes all project plan and shop drawings
- Reviews and interprets contract drawings and specifications
- Performs material tracking, yields and cost projection procedures
- Manages change order activity
- Assembles and maintains project documents and resources
- Reviews and tracks concrete testing results
- Understands and uses value of work methods to make decisions
- Anticipates and troubleshoots changes in project scope and schedule
- Performs material takeoff and buy-out to include pricing research and vendor awards
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field
- Must possess a strong work ethic and demonstrate tenacity
- Experience in a construction environment
- Ability to effectively work in teams
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience
