Role Overview

We’re looking for a Social Media Lead to manage Story’s social presence. In this role, you’ll build and execute a social media marketing strategy that increases awareness, connects with target audiences, accelerates growth, and drives cultural relevance for the Story brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop & Execute Strategy: Design and implement a data-driven social media strategy that supports business goals, increases awareness, and drives positive brand engagement.
  • Content Creation: Craft compelling posts, Twitter/X threads, memes, and visuals in collaboration with our Design team, to communicate complex ideas in an accessible way.
  • Manage Social Schedule: Run Story’s social media content calendar, ensuring consistent, timely, and streamlined content deployment across social channels.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with Story’s social community, consistently monitoring for opportunities to join conversations, responding to comments, and engaging with content.
  • Analytics & Optimization: Monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and optimize social media strategy based on the data for maximum reach and impact.
  • Trend Spotting: Consistently propose opportunities to join conversations on industry trends, platform updates, and emerging discussions around AI, IP, and decentralized technologies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across the organization — from BD to engineering and DevRel — to support business and technology goals with social content.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of marketing experience, with at least 2 of those in web3
  • Skilled in writing content for both developer and crypto-native audiences
  • Proven track record managing social media for a high-growth organization
  • Expert in channel strategy, content creation, and message prioritization
  • Experienced in utilizing data to continuously refine and optimize efforts
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
  • Deep understanding of crypto culture and passion for Story’s mission
