Responsibilities
- Works directly with all Client’s and BoldTek’s key personnel to clearly understand business requirements, develop project goals/objectives, and define and set priorities of work assignments.
- Architect, design, develop, and test new requested features in PC Hardware Diagnostic software solutions for world-wide customer release. Diagnostic solutions directly interface various PC hardware components and subsystems such as CPU, GPU, USB, Thunderbolt, Display, Memory, and various I/O subsystems using various industry-standard APIs and h/w, f/w, BIOS protocols.
- Assist and guide in developing design and architectural specifications for new solutions.
- Understand and enhance architecture and design of large-scale application solutions involving C++, C#, Angular/Electron, Java, web services, Socket, SignalR components.
- Facilitate troubleshooting and root causing complex Hardware, BIOS, and OS related interfacing issues, and assist in resolving such issues.
Skills
- 4-5 years of strong proficiency in C#, C++ programming with a strong knowledge of various development IDE environments, compiler environments, and active software debugging tools/best practices.
- Experience in working with various design and architectural patterns, best practices, and coding standards.
- Working knowledge of various low-level PC hardware API & Microsoft OS APIs to interact with PC hardware components and sub-components (SIO, SMBIOS, CPU, GPU).
- Good working experience with various APIs and libraries interacting with hardware and OS such as SetUpAPI, WMI, Audio, Video/GPU, SMBIOS, DDK, DirectX, OpenGL, Boost for C++.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's and Master's degree, preferred in Computer Science (CS), Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Information System or similar fields.
- 3-4 years of professional experience working in a similar field (PC Hardware programming, R&D environment).
