As the Senior Director, Corporate Sustainability, you will work to elevate the intersection of business impact with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies for a long term, consistent approach. The Senior Director, Corporate Sustainability will lead Vantive’s cross-functional, coordinated ESG strategy and execution, broadening awareness of the Company’s commitments to global stakeholders, advancing our reputational capital and driving internal/external engagement.

You will regularly evaluate ESG strategy as the leader of Vantive’s Corporate Responsibility Council (CRC), while also seeking guidance on best practices and industry and regulatory trends. You will collaborate with Vantive’s CRC to effectively, accurately, and consistently message ESG priorities and claims (includes PR activations and evergreen content); and monitor performance of ESG marketing to inform future strategy and content development. Reporting to the VP, Corporate Affairs – Kidney Care (Vantive), you will be a key member of the Corporate Affairs leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development/advancement of all strategies, policies, and direction/execution of all administrative and program activities in close coordination with Vantive’s Corporate Responsibility Council.
  • Close alignment with Vantive’s senior leadership and with Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHS&S) colleagues, as well as others across the Company to optimize the Company’s ESG strategy and approach.
  • Lead and drive strategic enhancements in the Company’s ESG reporting, disclosures and integration of ratings and rankings submissions to capture greater enterprise value, meet stakeholder and regulatory requirements, support customer tenders, and increase visibility and reputational capital.
  • Serve as spokesperson and thought leader and represent the Company with various stakeholders to educate and inform about purpose, goals, philosophy and accomplishments.
  • Partner with Corporate Affairs colleagues (including Communications, Patient Advocacy & Partnerships, Government Affairs, and Market Access) and Human Resources function to creatively identify and amplify visibility of corporate programs and partnerships on reputational and thought-leadership opportunities, including robust impact measurement.
  • Drive accountability with ESG-related firms and consultancies to ensure strategic alignment and delivery of quality work.
  • Become subject matter expert on relevant trends, issues, best practices, etc. within core areas of responsibility.
  • Manage and mentor staff - ability to lead people and projects effectively.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience developing, organizing and executing ESG strategy, programs, initiatives in the healthcare domain (preferred)
  • Strong financial management skills with a focus on innovative and strategic deployment of resources; ability to examine financial statements and audited financial reports
  • Experience with U.S., EU and international programs and partnerships
  • Excellent written/verbal communications, as well as leadership, interpersonal, organizational, project management and presentation skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated team player that can execute independently; willing and able to be hands-on in executing programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study; master’s degree highly preferred
