Lead Software Engineer - NIKE, Inc. - Beaverton, OR

Develop, code, configure, and test programs and systems to meet designed digital product specifications; manage the team in gathering detailed design and solving complex problems; ensure Tech Design driven by the Engineering Manager meets the product technical and business needs; oversee the design and build of components, frameworks, and libraries at scale to support NIKE Global products; review design, code, test plans, and dataset implementation performed by other engineers to maintain NIKE engineering standards; anticipate, identify, and troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis to proactively resolve products and operational issues; manage the process of building continuous integration, test-driven development, and production deployment frameworks; ensure test automation, continuous integration and delivery, observability and instrumentation, scalability, high-availability, penetration and security testing, Service Level Agreements, and improvement of ops metrics; mentor and guide other software engineers; work closely with Architects and other tech leads to ensure all solutions adhere to existing guidelines and principles; partner with engineering and Global product managers to deliver innovative software solutions for NIKE; review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including coding, testing, debugging, and installing for small- to mid-scale systems. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or Electronics Engineering and Five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related computer occupation.

  3. Software Data Security
  4. System Workflow and Analysis
  5. Workday Global Compensation (Core and Advanced) implementations
  6. Integrating Global Compensation systems, Finance, Retail, and External Vendor systems
  7. Workday compensation review configuration
  8. Workday tools like iLoad, Object Transporter, EIBs, Core Connector and BIRT
  9. Web services such as REST and SOAP
  10. Workday data transfer protocol
  11. Workday Reports such as Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports
  12. Support Workday Audits both internal and external
  13. Support Workday bi-annual upgrade
  14. Streamlining or automation of processes for cost savings and efficiencies
