Our client is a high-end commercial real-estate firm that owns and manages properties over $300 million, and 1.5 million square, feet located in Midtown Manhattan. They are seeking a Senior Real Estate Accountant to join their team. They offer a very competitive salary and a great work environment. The Senior Real Estate Accountant plays a critical role in managing the financial health of real estate portfolios.
Responsibilities of the Senior Real Estate Accountant:

• Manage the portfolio of commercial properties.
• Perform month-end close and produce financial statements/workpapers for the assigned portfolio.
• Analyze monthly/annual financial statements
• Prepare/verify accurate monthly journal entries
• Read, analyze, and abstract tenant lease agreements.
• Analyze AP/AR, project expenses.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of property management experience
• Mix of public and private firm experience a plus
• Proficiency with various ERP systems (Yardi, QuickBooks, etc.) and MS Excel and Word.
• This role is on site 5 days per week
