Solar Turbines Incorporated, headquartered in San Diego, California, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc. Solar manufactures the world’s most widely used family of mid-sized industrial gas turbines, ranging from 1 to 39 megawatts. As the Talent Acquisition Partner, you will be responsible for leveraging sound knowledge, consultation and influencing skills to aid business leaders in attracting and hiring qualified best-in-class talent through innovative and proven talent acquisition strategies. Additionally, the Talent Acquisition Partner identifies, engages, and connects with the best talent on an ongoing basis to facilitate the filling of open positions quickly and efficiently while partnering with the hiring manager.
What You Will Do:
- Recruiting & Sourcing:
- Assist in designing and implementing comprehensive data-driven talent acquisition strategies to attract top talent in order to build the best teams and partner with hiring leadership and HR Managers to execute strategies.
- Evaluate resumes, conduct qualitative phone screenings and provide informed recommendations to leadership.
- Provide expertise in interviewing methodology and high-touch customer-focused processes to enable consistent quality of hire.
- Customer and Candidate Relationship Management:
- Challenge hiring manager assumptions to drive effective hiring decisions through a lens hiring the best talent.
- Act as a recruitment subject matter expert and strategic thinking partner by providing recommendations and industry-specific knowledge that contributes to the overall achievement of Solar Turbines business and financial objectives.
- Serve as primary liaison between prospective employees and Solar Turbines.
- Utilize effective communication and follow-through strategies to build trust and confidence with customers and candidates while adhering to and being accountable for customer service levels.
- Utilize the applicant tracking system (ATS), build strong candidate pipelines, and monitor and manage reports to measure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Understand and comply with specific governmental hiring standards and practices (i.e., EEO, OFCCP, etc.).
What You Have (Basic Requirements):
- Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients and peers.
- Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
- Customer/Market Focus: Understanding of the importance of remaining aware of shifting market priorities and ability to respond to internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value.
- Staffing and Recruiting: Knowledge of standards, processes, techniques and methods used in staffing and recruiting; ability to identify, screen, source, select both internally and externally, for a wide range of positions.
What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience recruiting in Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain.
- Experience using recruiting tools to identify external talent (i.e., LinkedIn Recruiter, Workday, or a CRM to support successful recruiting efforts and candidate management).
- Experience using data to influence hiring decisions (i.e., Talent Neuron, LinkedIn Insights, etc.).

Summary Pay Range:
$76,542.00 - $114,814.00
