Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented legal counsel specializing in a variety of contractual matters, including client, manager, and vendor agreements to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws. This role requires a deep understanding of contract law, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Responsibilities

  1. Draft, review, and negotiate contractual arrangements and other related documents (including amendments, investment guidelines, etc.).
  2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure contracts align with company objectives.
  3. Provide legal advice and guidance on contract-related matters to minimize risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  4. Maintain and update contract templates and standard terms to reflect current legal and business requirements.
  5. Ensure all contract-related documents are accurately maintained and easily accessible.
  6. Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues or disputes that arise.
  7. Stay informed about industry trends and legal developments related to vendor agreements.
  8. Other legal matters, as they arise.

Qualifications

  1. J.D. degree required.
  2. Licensed to practice in the US. Bar status in good standing.
  3. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  4. Ability to take direction and work independently with minimum supervision.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills; the successful candidate demonstrates great collaboration skills, flexibility, initiative, and is an excellent team player.
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate and interact with peers and external contacts in an effective, tactful, and professional manner.
  7. Strong understanding of contract law principles and best practices.
  8. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  9. Sense of humor.
