The Association Director, Marketing - Membership and Wellness is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives to support YMCA membership growth, wellness programs, and build community. This role ensures the alignment of marketing efforts with organizational goals, fosters collaboration across departments, and enhances the YMCA’s brand presence in the community. The director works with a team of marketing professionals to deliver impactful marketing strategies and tactics that promote membership, wellness programs, and community well-being.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing, membership or wellness program experience a plus.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and guiding staff.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, analytics, and social media platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and external partners.
- Ability to develop data-driven marketing strategies and evaluate campaign performance.
- Experience managing budgets and ensuring cost-effective marketing initiatives.
- Familiarity with YMCA programs and branding standards is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to build community relationships and partnerships.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
All YMCA team members are expected to maintain a current and active status for all safety, risk, and programming certifications defined by the YMCA of Greater Charlotte.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
Working Conditions
- Regularly required to use a computer for extended periods of time and be able to communicate using a computer and phone/smart device.
- This is an in-office position; candidates must be willing to commit to five days in office/week.
- Frequently required to sit and reach and must be able to move around the work environment.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, kneel, stand, push, pull and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Speak concisely and effectively communicate in English, both written and oral.
