We’re looking for a driven professional with an inclusive mindset to join our team as a Lead Developer.
A day in the life as a Lead Developer…
- Participate with business partners in the definition of their requirements.
- Develop detail design to align with the business requirements: function and process specifications. Assist with technical design, unit test plan (where needed), functional program design, and technical program design (where needed).
- Working with the team and business colleagues, define KPI’s, data integrity measurements and a data integrity assurance process.
- Develop a function point analysis estimate of work effort required to complete the business requirements.
- Develop team work plan working with manager and business input and priorities. Determine staff assignments.
- Project management: Create and maintain the technology work plan using department approved project management tools; supervise progress; report progress against work plan; log, track and manage the resolution of project issues; frequently review progress with technology management.
- Construction: Ensure programs are well-structured, well-documented and written to standards; conduct walkthroughs, review code and/or mappings, review unit tests.
- Testing: Collaborate with Quality Assurance in the preparation of test environments and execution of system test. Develop system test plan; develop and assist with execution of user acceptance test. Coordinate user service requests.
- Training: Participate in the definition and setup of training environments when needed.
- Installation: Participate in installation of software and execution of conversion.
- Post-installation support: Monitor system and coordinate user service requests.
- Develop, measure, communicate and manage user agreed to service levels for data currency, accuracy, and availability.
- Collaborate with internal customers to determine the most efficient, cost-effective approach to meet their business requirements.
- Participate and/or lead technical design meetings and assist defining system architecture.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate progress.
- Provide excellent customer service to users of Crate and Barrel system software applications.
What you’ll bring to the table…
- Ability to develop a technical software solution to a business problem utilized by the supply chain and ability to define the solution in verbal and documented states.
- Ability to create estimates for software development based on technical solutions that address business requirements.
- Ability to develop a work plan, taking into account the defined efforts by all contributing technology-impacted domains.
- With some maturation in role, ability to coalesce work plans into a roadmap for supply chain applications.
- Knowledge of vendor portals and visibility products like GT Nexus.
- Ability to interface packages like GT Nexus to legacy host systems like the I-Series.
- Ability to develop and prioritize EDI transaction processing.
- Listening and comprehension skills in working alongside business disciplines and other technology disciplines.
- Ability to work with business and prioritize requirements from business based on factors such as technology resources from different technology domains, overarching senior management direction, etc.
We’d love to hear from you if you have…
- College degree in an applicable field of study or comparable experience.
- Eight or more years of software application development experience.
- Demonstrated logical analysis and problem solving skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of the software application technologies utilized in software application team to which Developer is assigned.
Up to: $158,700.00 Hourly
Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to your salary, based on your role, associates may be eligible for other compensation including bonuses, sales incentives, and long term incentives.
