Job Description

The Architectural Program Manager will develop and manage the design and controls of electrical and cooling components and related systems for complex data centers. The incumbent will analyze the energy performance of each project and coordinate and support the commissioning process. Specific responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the ability to work with limited supervision in corporate, remote, and home offices, as well as project site locations.

The Architectural Program Manager must be a flexible and adaptable team-player who possess and demonstrates effective communication and broad client service skills. As experience is further developed in the overall design and construction of data centers, the Architectural Program Manager skills will be further utilized as a Subject Matter Expert across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understand mission critical construction industry protocols and troubleshooting support
  • Confer with engineers and design staff to interpret design concepts
  • Perform calculations in preparation for designing products
  • Review documents, quotes, and drawings to confirm conformance with scope
  • Revise drawings and designs based client scope and meetings
  • Prepare product reports by collecting and analyzing information
  • Provide direction by answering questions and requests from design team, owner and vendors
  • Develop solutions by studying customer requirements
  • Create conceptual designs from information gathered at client meetings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products
  • Experience with Electrical Systems (UPS, PDU, Generator, Switchgear)
  • Experience with Cooling Systems and Controls
  • Experience withAutodesk Inventor and AutoCAD MEP, Procore
  • Knowledge of architectural space planning for data center/mission critical buildings
  • Possess an understanding of drawing and modeling organization
  • 6+ years in design, project planning, construction and commissioning
  • PE, EIT, CEM, LEED certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of design process and building for mission critical/data center projects
