Job Title: Project Engineer - Water Resources

Location: Los Angeles, CA

About the Role: We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer specializing in Water Resources to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting water-related projects, from stormwater management to watershed restoration. Your expertise will help us deliver innovative solutions that enhance communities and improve quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the design and implementation of water resource projects, such as developing stormwater management systems to reduce urban flooding and improve water quality.
  2. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and technical analyses to support project planning and design for watershed restoration and flood control systems.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop project plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water supply optimization projects.
  4. Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure timely and successful completion of water resource projects.
  5. Design and implement green infrastructure solutions to manage stormwater in urban areas.
  6. Lead efforts to restore natural habitats and improve water quality in local watersheds.
  7. Develop and upgrade flood control systems to protect communities from extreme weather events.
  8. Optimize water supply systems to ensure reliable and sustainable water resources for growing populations.
  9. Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide project updates and address any issues, ensuring smooth project execution.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in water resources engineering or related field.
  4. Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM).
  5. Strong project management skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
