Join Kleinfelder as a Senior Human Resources Manager in the West Division!
Location: California (Sacramento, Riverside, Laguna Hills, or San Diego) Type: Hybrid (3 days a week in-office) Requires travel as needed.
Your Role: In this pivotal role, you’ll act as a strategic HR Business Partner, providing consultative support and leadership to managers across the West Division. You’ll lead a team of HR professionals, champion our Talent Management process, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate & Innovate: Work with West Division managers to evaluate staff capabilities, identify gaps, and create tailored staff development initiatives. Be the architect of our talent strategy!
- Drive Strategic Initiatives: Proactively engage in business initiatives, partnering with division/business units to drive success.
- Champion Talent Management: Lead the Talent Management process, identifying skill gaps and recommending transformative training opportunities.
- Investigate with Integrity: Conduct thorough and objective investigations as assigned.
- Plan & Execute: Provide workforce planning guidance and ensure regulatory compliance, keeping us ahead of the curve.
- Coach & Empower: Train and develop leadership teams, equipping them to manage employee relations with finesse.
- Solve & Support: Propose and implement solutions to create a safe and productive workplace.
- Foster Relationships: Work closely with management and employees to build morale, increase productivity, and improve retention.
- Guide & Interpret: Offer HR policy guidance and interpretation, ensuring clarity and consistency.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in HR, with at least 7 years in a consulting engineering firm or related service business. California experience is required; multi-state experience is a strong plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Master’s/MBA degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Certification: Senior-level professional certification (SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP) required. Certification in DISC or EIQ is a plus.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, consulting expertise, and knowledge of company operations. Ability to manage competing demands and conflicting priorities. Strong conflict management skills, superb client management experience, self-directed and motivated. Initiative to identify and anticipate client needs with good business acumen.
