This position will be located onsite in the Pioneer (an ASSA ABLOY company) facility in Carlstadt, New Jersey.

What would you do as our CNC Programmer?

You will be responsible for generating CNC Turret Punch Press, reading and interpreting technical blueprints, inputting design specifications, and performing quality checks on the final product. You may also be required to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.

You would also:

• Enter information provided by the Order Entry Department into the manufacturing system.
• Program components for release to production. Orders range from basic stock to the highest level of custom orders and detailing.
• Handle technical inquiries from the manufacturing and order entry team.
• Communicate with Lister on discrepancies and/or application conflicts.
• Interpret hardware templates and utilize the correct coding macro.
• Continually promote a safe and harmonious working environment, demonstrating strict adherence to the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct and ASSA ABLOY Health & Safety Policy.

The Skills and Experience you need:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology, preferred.
• Two (2) to five (5) years of CAD/CAM systems experience, required.
• Previous experience in a metalworking shop, preferred.
• Previous experience in commercially available systems, required.
• Demonstrated intermediate-level math skills with familiarity and proficiency relating to Geometry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational, planning, and follow-up skills, and a sense of urgency are required.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk daily through a manufacturing facility (101,000 sq ft).
• Ability to work on weekends, when needed.
• Must be willing to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
• Occasional overtime required.
