Job Details
Responsibilities: Provide visionary leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that align with the mission of the company. Direct the development and possible implementation of policies and procedures in the areas of software development, hardware, architecture, and technology integration. Develop, track, and control the development of annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations. Identify emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within the company. Promote achievement of the company's business goals within a context of community collaboration by developing policies for sharing software and technological innovation. Establish and direct the strategic and tactical goals, policies, and procedures for the information technology department. Collaborate with the appropriate departments to develop and maintain a technology plan that supports company needs. Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a leadership role in technology, preferably in the tech services industry. Proven experience with tech stacks including but not limited to React.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, organization, and development. In-depth knowledge of current technological trends, developments, and best practices. Proven experience in IT project management. Experience in working within a start-up environment is highly desirable. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
