Job Description

Kelly Services, in collaboration with a leading company in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Maintenance Manager in the Southwest Chicago, IL area. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit and vacation package upon hire!

Salary:

  • $110,000 - $130,000 (depending on experience)
  • Up to 10% bonus potential

Shift:

  • Mon – Thurs | 6am – 4pm (with flexibility)

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance operations of the facility; ensuring all aspects run in a cost effective, safe, and efficient manner with the highest degree of up-time. The Maintenance Manager supervises any new additions or repairs to the facilities and equipment.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all facilities are operated and maintained cost efficiently and safely, in accordance with the approved budget(s), customer requirements and governmental regulations.
  • Reviews all maintenance / equipment repair related expenditures and contributes to preparation of operating budget. Approves, implements, and monitors departmental budgets.
  • Conduct regular assessments and trainings to ensure safety of employees
  • Analyze processes to ensure efficient functioning and perform analysis to make adjustments
  • Responsible for management and supervision of all maintenance / mechanical personnel.
  • Leads and executes the Preventative Maintenance plan, schedules, and processes in all facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred, but not required.
  • 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience
  • 3+ years of management experience leading a maintenance team
  • Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Ability to identify and solve inefficiencies in processes
