Our client in Charleston is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join their office in Charleston. This role will provide crucial support to a team of two attorneys and one administrative assistant, specializing in medical malpractice litigation.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a paralegal, a strong understanding of medical malpractice law, and a dedication to delivering exceptional legal support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys throughout all phases of medical malpractice litigation, including case preparation, discovery, and trial prep.
• Draft, proofread, and revise various legal documents, such as complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring accurate documentation and proper filing.
• Communicate with clients, medical professionals, and experts as necessary.
• Conduct legal research and summarize medical records, depositions, and other pertinent materials.
• Provide support in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and trial notebooks.
• Manage deadlines and support case management to ensure timely progress.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in medical malpractice litigation.
• Paralegal certification or equivalent education and experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
