Water & Protection is a leading provider of engineered products and integrated systems for the construction, worker safety, energy, oil & gas, transportation, water purification and medical markets.Maintenance Technicians are responsible for routine and non-routine maintenance activities on the sites' manufacturing and process equipment. Daily tasks include performing maintenance in the areas of fluid power, pneumatics, PLC's, mechanical and electrical systems and working with scheduling and planning software. Technicians coordinate troubleshooting efforts and strive to implement improvements with operations and engineers as needed to assure the day to day site operation.2nd Shift Hours are 2:30 pm - 11 pm M-F.As a Maintenance Technician, you will:Exhibit a safety conscious approach to work•Abide by all workplace policies and proceduresBe able and willing to effectively communicate, share information, resolve issues, and work with othersGive and receive both positive and critical feedback in a respectful and professional mannerProactively anticipate changes and respond to achieve organizational objectives.Be independently motivated to produce results.Be able to troubleshoot and maintain various mechanical machines and process equipmentBe able to understand and prioritize business needsBe able to understand, analyze and resolve technical problems throughout the siteHave a strong work ethic and be able to remain productive in an empowered team environment.Be willing to continuously learn new skills and new technologiesBe able to utilize computer software programs to troubleshoot•Be able to operate a mechanical liftBe punctual and demonstrate reliable attendanceQualifications:A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent is required; a 2-year technical/vocational degree in a related field is strongly preferredA minimum of two (2) years professional maintenance work (electronics, maintenance, computers, aerial/air craft); OR completion of technical/certification; OR relevant military experienceMust be able to read, write, and comprehend documents in English is requiredA valid U.S. driver's license is requiredMust be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include; wearing safety equipment, such as earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, hardhats, hairnets, and steel-toed shoes are requiredWhile performing the duties of this job, you may be required to stand; walk (up and down stairs); twist; bend; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb for extended periods of time; and will require the ability to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds is requiredAbility to participate as an on-call resource for an average of 5 weeks a year to support 24/7 operations is requiredThis role is located in Minneapolis, MN and may require less than 5% of travelRelocation is not available for this positionJoin our Talent Community to stay connected with us!On May 22, 2024, we announced a plan to separate our Electronics and Water businesses in a tax-free manner to its shareholders.
