The Company:

A regional commercial construction company operating throughout Texas, specializing in higher education, healthcare, and research facilities are seeking a Superintendent to join their team in Houston, Texas. They focus on the construction process, enabling them to deliver the best quality, at the best value possible.

Your Role will Involve:

• Develop a clear and concise site logistics, lifting, hoisting, deliveries and site access plan.
• Inspect construction activities in accordance with established quality procedures and project related documents.
• Know, understand and consistently enforce safety program and OSHA rules.
• Provide technical assistance.
• Actively coordinate trade and associated installations in advance to mitigate conflicts.
• Review plans, specifications, general notes and shop/working drawings for assigned.
• Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures.
• Help create and sustain a positive company image.
• Develop professional relationship with client and design team.
• Ensure all on-site personnel comply with the project procedures.
• Ensure accurate preparation of time sheets, unit reporting, daily construction reports and labor projections.
• Ensure work performed follows company policies and procedures.
• Work integrally with project management team on status reports, and labor and material projections.
• Develop and maintain schedule to ensure coordinated and timely installations.
• Assist project management team in development and implementation of an effective job site communications plan.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a project superintendent with a construction management build contractor, overseeing multiple projects.
• Experience with healthcare, higher education, and/or laboratory projects with a commercial general contractor preferred.
• Experience with self-performing work in excavation, concrete, and finish carpentry.
