About the Role:
Job Title: Drone Maintenance Technician/ Drone Technician/ Drone Engineer/ Drone Specialist/ Maintenance Technician/ Technician/ Manufacturing Technician
About the Role:
Ascendion is seeking a Drone Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of cutting-edge delivery drones. This role is integral to ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the drone fleet. Technicians will also gain exposure to project management responsibilities, working independently on assigned initiatives and collaborating with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on drones to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
- Follow established maintenance protocols and ensure compliance with aviation safety standards.
- Work closely with engineering, flight operations, and other internal teams to support ongoing drone development.
- Manage assigned projects, providing updates and insights to stakeholders.
- Maintain meticulous records of maintenance activities and system performance.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Travel up to 4 weeks per quarter, which may include local assignments, Oregon, Austin, Arizona, etc as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with mechanical and electrical integration or assembly.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings or CAD files.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Business communication skills with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
- Familiarity with maintenance guidelines as defined in 14 CFR 43.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks for shifts up to 12 hours.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Aviation Maintenance Professional (AMP) certification (Highly Preferred).
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (Highly Preferred).
- Experience in aviation maintenance, drone operations, or related aerospace fields.
- Background in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Linux, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with SQL databases and data management.
- Ability to create CAD files based on specifications.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 Annually - Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
