Title : Director of Cloud Architecture & Development

Pay Rate : $120K to $150K/yr on W2
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of a unified cloud architecture strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and objectives.
• Assess and understand the existing legacy cloud architectures and identify opportunities for consolidation and optimization.
• Evaluate existing cloud services to determine lifecycle needs for sustaining, refactoring, or end of life.
• Develop a comprehensive roadmap for cloud transformation, including timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.
• Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of the cloud infrastructure.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends, and incorporate best practices into the cloud strategy.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in leading large-scale cloud transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Excellent knowledge of cloud architecture principles, including microservices, containerization, and serverless computing.
• Strong architectural knowledge of traditional cloud services and the ability to transform to more modern architecture with an eye for development and operating costs.
• Experience with legacy cloud systems and the challenges associated with their transformation.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are a plus.
• Some level of security background or experience in banking/health sectors.
• Compliance and Governance experience, including PII, PCI, GDPR, CCPA, etc.
