Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize case files, both electronic and physical.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely filing of pleadings and other documents.
- Manage and organize discovery materials, including document production and responses to interrogatories.
- Prepare and maintain litigation calendars and schedules.
- Assist in the preparation and responses to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.
- Conduct factual research and gather relevant information.
- Prepare and organize exhibits for depositions and trials.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and Review and summarize legal documents.
- Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and other trial materials.
- Conduct legal research using online databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and other resources.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in local, state, and federal rules and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, and hearings.
- Assist attorneys in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
- Manage exhibits and witness testimony.
- Coordinate logistics for trials and hearings.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years' experience supporting litigation attorneys
- Paralegal Certificate
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
