Job Opportunity: Permanent Production TechnicianLocation: Burlington, WashingtonOur client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.Position Details: Shift: Day shift, Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with occasional Fridays Compensation: $28.00 - $31.50 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)Requirements: A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Production Maintenance Technician is required. Only candidates with relevant experience will be considered.Production Maintenance Technician IIIPosition Overview: The Production Maintenance Technician III is an advanced role within the Production Maintenance Technician series. This position involves complex work requiring significant experience, skill, and technical knowledge, typically acquired through the Production Maintenance Technician II classification. This role is distinguished from the Technician II by requiring seven (7) years of experience, additional licenses and certifications, and the ability to perform the full range of assigned tasks and duties. Technicians at this level are frequently called upon to make critical decisions that impact Legend Brands' objectives with significant financial and production implications.Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate advanced understanding and operation of pneumatic/electrical drills, grinders, routers, and motors. Exhibit advanced knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems, general maintenance processes and methods, power tools, welders, and machine shop equipment. Provide complex problem-solving skills, including equipment breakdowns, repairs, and installations. Offer advanced electrical and instrumentation knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities. Lead teams to solve complex projects and work professionally with outside vendors. Train and mentor lower-level Production Maintenance Technicians.Employment Standards: Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Familiarity with methods, practices, materials, tools, and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment, or the ability to quickly learn these processes and problem-solve. Proficiency in verbal and written communication. Strong problem-solving skills. Competence in manufacturing shop math skills. Ability to work in confined spaces and wear a silo harness. Proficiency in English, both verbal and written. Ability to use independent discretion and judgment within organizational values, policies, and procedures. Ability to follow directions and work overtime. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.Working Conditions: Physical Demands: Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Physical Activities: Hearing, talking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fine manipulation, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motion. Visual Acuity: Required for activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer screen, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small parts, and operating machines at close distances. Environmental Conditions: Exposure to hazards such as moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, high heat, and chemicals. Subject to noise, atmospheric conditions affecting the respiratory system or skin, and working in close quarters or narrow passageways.Tools, Equipment, and Machinery Used: Hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, welding tools, manlift/aerial lift, cleaning equipment, office equipment (computer, copier, etc.), and power industrial trucks.
