The Dallas office of Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, LLP seeks an associate attorney with 3 to 10 years' experience to join the Insurance Coverage and Litigation Section of the firm. Candidates should have strong writing skills and a working knowledge of state and federal civil procedure. Litigation experience is preferred; however, the focus of this position will be on the analysis of insurance policies, contractual provisions and applicable case law and the preparation of written opinions and motions under the direction of a partner in the Insurance Coverage and Litigation Section. Valid Texas Bar license required.
The Insurance Coverage and Litigation section at Thompson Coe focuses on advising insurance carriers on complex claims, as well as on defending insurance companies in bad faith, breach of contract, indemnity, property, class action and coverage lawsuits and declaratory actions. The section also defends companies, directors and officers, partnerships and other business entities in general commercial litigation matters. Depending on the size and exposure of the case, the candidate will independently handle the case or work closely with a partner.
