Vernis & Bowling is AV rated National Insurance defense firm seeking law clerks starting Summer 2025 to support our Ridgeland, Mississippi (Jackson area) office. Promising clerks may have the opportunity to work part-time during the school year as well.

Summer hours to be discussed, but during the school year law clerks will be offered a flexible work schedule of around 10-20 hours per week ( must be physically in office ) . Only students enrolled in an accredited law schools will be considered.

Among other tasks, law clerks will be performing research, reviewing documents, drafting motions, responding to discovery requests, and doing general trial preparation. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. This position is potentially a path to full-time employment upon graduation.
