Duties include manual tasks such as litter and general clean-up around the facility, lawn and site maintenance, pump cleaning, shoveling snow, road maintenance, and transfer operation work. The incumbents will also assist in the construction, operations, and maintenance of the landfill by operating power driven tools and equipment such as saws, compressors, fusible pipe welders, drills, mixers, pumps and mowers. Hand tools used will include shovels, scythes, forks and rakes. The position involves performing semi-skilled inspections, maintenance and repair work on assigned equipment.
