We are a fast-moving team that manages the enterprise-level, highly integrated Contract and Settlement suite of applications including AWS-hosted, mobile and web accessible applications for both the Timberlands and Wood Products businesses at Weyerhaeuser. Our applications equip our finance teams across the company to effectively invoice and settle more than $2 Billion worth of sales across both Timberlands and Wood Products businesses. Our IT team is on a mission to continue transforming the timber industry. We are not just in the cloud; we are implementing technology that will keep us at the forefront of innovation in the forestry and forest products industries. We are looking for an experienced IT Dev/Analyst II to join our Timberlands Connected Forest team. Strong candidates will demonstrate a successful career in leveraging their outstanding business and technical analysis skills in the delivery of complex technology initiatives that create exceptional business value.
As an IT Dev/Analyst II, you will have a customer-oriented, analytical approach with business users and your IT team members. This includes working within our enterprise processes for incident, problem resolution and change implementation. Requirements include building strong customer partnerships and understanding the importance of delivering data and process standards across commercial software and custom developed systems.
This is an exciting and unique role that combines working daily with customers on solutions and business process improvements, while affording the opportunity to gain deep knowledge of the technology and business domains of Weyerhaeuser Timberlands.
This position will be located at one of our central Weyerhaeuser IT offices, including Seattle HQ, Montana (Flathead Valley), or Hot Springs, AR.
Key Functions

  • Responsible for interfacing with Weyerhaeuser Timberlands and Wood Products application users to understand business needs, translate and prepare technical specifications and design improvements to the existing software solutions to meet the business needs.
  • Responsible for ongoing maintenance and review of web services and programs; identifies problems and develops appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain application security administration and configuration (e.g. role definition, user permissions, etc.)
  • Effectively document solution functionality and business processes, supports audit processes, and partners on providing training.
  • Conducts and coordinates testing, including user acceptance, performance, stress, regression, and integration testing.
  • Assist with administration and performance tuning of cloud infrastructure server management in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Review and validate vendor provided code updates to existing software
  • Tier 3 Support - troubleshooting complex issues not solved by Tier 1 & 2, facilitating cross functional troubleshooting, root cause analysis and escalating issues to vendor for support, as necessary.
  • Partner with vendors and peers in IT to advance the strategic business technology roadmap
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressive, relevant IT experience supporting integrated applications in the domain of supply chain, manufacturing, financial or ERP systems
  • Experience working with or supporting SAP and/or data inputs to SAP
  • Able to apply business knowledge to develop and deliver innovative, value-added improvement
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, skilled in communicating technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent collaboration skills in working together with others across all IT segments

  • Excellent technical fluency in use of desktop and web-based productivity software, including Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office suite, as well a planning and resource management tools (e.g. Aha!, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Strong technical foundation and knowledge of integrated software systems, spanning platforms, cloud providers and cloud-native capabilities, and delivery models (hosted/virtualized, mobile-based, local installation, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS) and strong SQL scripting abilities (reading and writing complex and optimized queries, designing, implementing, and materializing views)
  • Proficient knowledge of ITIL/ITSM principles and practices
  • This position requires occasional travel up to 10%
Highly Valued
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, including AP/AR
  • Experience with cloud-based service providers (Azure, AWS) and CI/CD tools.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Power BI, and other reporting toolsets
  • Experience working in Wood Products, Forestry, or Natural Resource industries
  • Experience leading medium to large size projects
What We Offer
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $95,000 - $142,500 based on your level of skills, qualifications, and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 10% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401(k) plan, which includes a paid company match on a per pay period basis. In addition, the company makes a retirement savings contribution of 5% of eligible earnings into the 401(k) Plan.
Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours.
