DescriptionnnPay $17.00 - $20.00 per hournnThe Accounts Payable Specialist compiles and maintains accounts payable records. The Accounts Payable Specialist will increase operational efficiency by accurately processing and making payments of vendor invoices, while maximizing vendor cash discounts, where applicable.nnCore ResponsibilitiesnnReview invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. Includes matching invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation, checking vendor information, quantities, payment terms and costs, and entering applicable information into the accounts payable system.nnProcessing and payment of vendor invoices while maximizing cash discounts, where applicable.nnPrepare check/invoice packets for data entry.nnCheck accounts payable edits after entry for errors, make any appropriate corrections if needed.nnPrints and obtains signatures on accounts payable checks.nnPrepare and enter approved journal entries relating to payables/expense coding, when necessary.nnDistributes signed checks as required.nnMaintains vendor accounts & answers vendor inquiries.nnMaintains accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts payable files.nnResolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.nnBalance vendor statements to accounts payable to rectify any discrepancies.nnReview all vendor account credit balances for return to Organization.nnAssist in monthly and year end closings.nnAssists with providing documentation to auditors as part of annual audit.nnPerforms required filing and copying.nnQualificationsnnAssociates Degree or 3 years’ experience in accounts payable or related field.nnIntermediate Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel, Access).nnMust have a valid New York State Driver’s LicensennBenefitsnnOur work environment provides the opportunity to grow and learn in a fast-paced atmosphere.
