Job Summary:

The Construction Superintendent oversees the daily operations of multi-family podium-style construction projects. This role is responsible for managing field activities, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, adhering to schedules, and executing projects within the established budget. The Superintendent works closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and team members to ensure successful project delivery.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure projects meet company standards for quality, safety, and timeliness.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to execute project plans and schedules effectively.
  • Manage subcontractors, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce safety policies and procedures on-site.
  • Monitor project progress and report updates, including work completed, challenges, and schedule adherence.
  • Ensure proper allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials on-site.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ensure constructability and accuracy.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to verify compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Address and resolve on-site issues, escalating to Project Managers as necessary.
  • Prepare and maintain daily logs, reports, and schedules related to site activities.
  • Coordinate with the Project Engineer for submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for site-level communication with stakeholders, including clients, inspectors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide updates on field operations and ensure alignment with project goals.

  • Proficiency with construction management software, including:
  • ProCore
  • BlueBeam
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, MS Project)
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools like Primavera P6 is a plus.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent technical training is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or supervisory roles in multi-family construction projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of drawings, specifications, and construction materials.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
