Job Description
**Four Day Work Week/Full Time Position, No Weekends, Paid Holidays**

Allergy Partners is seeking Certified Medical Assistants to join our team in Fishers, Indiana.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare and a drive to provide excellent service to patients. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, has a strong work ethic, and is willing to go the extra mile in caring for each one of our patients (both children and adults). All hands-on training will be provided.

Clinical Responsibilities:

Greeting/rooming patients; taking vital signs and asking intake questions.
Performs Spirometry breathing test, allergy prick testing and intradermal testing as ordered by the physician.
Prepares and maintains exam rooms, supplies and equipment.
Sends in prescriptions as ordered by the physician or nurse practitioner.
Completes appropriate documentation in patients medical records.
Triage patient-related telephone calls and messages according to protocol.
Assists with administrative duties including Prior Authorizations and medication refills
Administering appropriate doses of allergy immunotherapy and other subcutaneous & intramuscular injections in a high-volume shot clinic (training provided)
Monitors patient status after administration of immunotherapy
Performs patient education when appropriate
Treats systemic reactions to allergy Immunotherapy under direction of physician
Manages inventory of subcutaneous immunotherapy vials and biologic medications
Coordinates patient care with physician
In compliance withal Allergy Partners, Hub, and state/federal policies; we have regular meetings as well as training for CPR, OSHA, HIPPA, Compliance, etc.

Required Skills:

Strong communication skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with a strong attention to detail.
Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly. Experience with EMR systems is a plus (e.g., Centricity, Phreesia).
Medical assistant training including patient intake and vital signs
Certification/Registration strongly preferred
At least 1 year of clinical assisting preferred/Allergy experience not required

Job Type: Full-time 36-40 hours per week

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High school degree required
CMA certificate desirable

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

At least one year of experience in clinical assisting
Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
Good communication skills
Neat, professional appearance
