About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to oversee and manage our HSE programs in Baledogle, Somalia. This role requires a strategic leader who will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, foster a culture of safety, and manage HSE personnel at the country level.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage company HSE programs, policies, and processes within the assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR).
  • Supervise and support assigned HSE personnel, ensuring program effectiveness and compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and audit HSE programs to align with company and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee incident investigations and conduct in-depth analyses of incidents with potential legal implications.
  • Advise management on balancing operational productivity with safety measures for team members, subcontractors, and client personnel.
  • Collaborate with client representatives, company HSE personnel, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and safety best practices.
  • Create and manage HSE education, awareness, and training programs to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10–13 years of relevant experience in health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific applications.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
  • Experience managing HSE programs in challenging environments is preferred.




Preferred Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of international safety and environmental regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
