Job Title: Plumbing Service Manager

Summary:

Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Northern Virginia is looking to fill a key role on our growing team. We are looking to hire an experienced plumber that can help lead our service team while playing multiple roles, which includes: supervision of service plumbers and performing plumbing service calls to help grow the region. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the company and take on many more responsibilities and job titles. The service manager will serve as the anchor of the operations side of the business and will be key to quick and profitable growth. Job Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Provide management, leadership and the necessary coaching for plumbing technician team to help them achieve their personal goals as well as the company's goals using the company's well-established sets of metrics and management processes.
2. Train new recruits, in accordance with what is needed technically, as well as in all areas of the Mr. Rooter System of service delivery system which includes customer soft skills, image, and character expectations.
3. Perform plumbing service calls for both residential and commercial clients.
4. Diagnose customer problems, provide solutions, present estimates and proposals, close sales, and perform the work.
5. Ensure that all technicians maintain clean and neat vehicles, project a clean, well-groomed professional appearance at all times and treat all customers as the number one priority. Service manager will perform periodic inspections of trucks, diagnostic cases and uniforms to ensure compliance and reward outstanding performers, as appropriate.
6. Service Manager will set an example in being punctual and dependable. Will report to work promptly.
7. Use good judgement and self-control in areas wherein you are entrusted by the company to maintain confidentiality. Information that is personal or confidential within members will not be relayed. You are discreet - If it is not constructive or necessary, you know not to say it.
8. Perform employee reviews using the company's established processes.
9. Managing and assign technicians to jobs based on the skills required and the nature of the job.
10. Be the "go to" problem solver when technicians run into challenges or problems.
11. Act as the "go to" person handling customer inquiries, providing customer service as well as resolving customer complaints.
12. Ride along with each tech periodically to ensure that he is aware of the continuing progress of each one, and is able to re-direct or stop negative trends (future date).
13. You will "coach" each invoice as needed, ensuring that "you are keeping your fingers on the pulse" of each technician and helping to manage each one toward continually improving their customer skills and performance.
14. If needed, you may be asked to perform other duties as assigned. This may include duties that are outside of the scope of normal job duties

Required Qualifications:

1. Valid Virginia driver's license with clean record.
2. Have at least 8 to 10 years' experience in service plumbing with 6 years as a supervisor.
3. Very familiar with residential service plumbing and can produce solid estimates of residential service work.
4. Strong communication, management and interpersonal skills and can work with a variety of different groups such as employees, customers and co-workers.
5. You are computer literate and understand (or can quickly learn) dispatching software such as Service Titan (or similar).
6. You are technically proficient with cable machines and jetter machines.

Compensation: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
