Job Title/Position: Executive Director/Administrator

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: Responsible for planning, coordinating, managing and directing all activities and programs of
the Advanced Home Health.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Planning and directing operations to ensure the provision of adequate and appropriate care and services.
2. Fiscal planning, budgeting and management.
3. Ensuring organizational compliance with legal, local, state and federal regulatory laws and regulations and accreditation standards.
4. Assures that all business conduct is above minimum standards required by law and will not condone any activities that achieve results through violations of the law, unethical business or patient care practices.
5. Recruiting, employing and retaining qualified personnel to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
6. Establishing and maintaining effective open channels of communication. Fosters a no blame culture that encourages reporting of safety and quality of services issues.
7. Ensuring program personnel have current clinical information and current practices and ensuring that a clinical manager is available during all operating hours.
8. Ensuring ongoing oversight of the agency's quality management system.
9. Evaluating services and programs.
10. Ensuring personnel development including orientation, in-service education and continuing education.
11. Coordinating with other program areas and management as appropriate.
12. Maintaining current on local trends and issues.
13. Ensuring that appropriate service policies are developed and implemented.
14. Ensures that a clinical manager is available during all operating hours.
15. Directing personnel in performance of their duties including admission, discharge and provision of service to patients.
16. Assuring appropriate personnel supervision during all operating hours.
17. Ensuring the accuracy of public information materials and activities
18. Appointing a similarly qualified alternate to be available at all times during operating hours in the absence of the administrator.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1. Is a licensed physician, a registered nurse or holds an undergraduate degree. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Master's degree in health care or related field preferred.
2. At least three to five years' experience in health care management preferably in health care management and at least one year of supervisory experience in home health care or health related programs.
3. Demonstrated an ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
4. Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with the community.
5. Knowledge of corporate business management.
6. Demonstrates good communications and public relations skills.
