SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Planner & Analyst will work closely with the finance and accounting team, operations, and senior leadership. The financial planning and analysis this person provides, will ensure the organization has the resources, planning and execution necessary to deliver sustainable and profitable growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drives the analytical process to facilitate impactful business decisions based on key performance indicators.
  • Partner with cross-functional business teams at various sites to manage functional spending reviews and profit and cash maximization initiatives.
  • Advise leadership on key financial drivers including, but not limited to orders, revenue, profit, cash, and operational headcount efficiency metrics.
  • Implement pacing mechanisms with functional leaders for revenues, margins, inventory, capital expenditures and headcounts within a mixed system landscape.
  • Drives creation of the Annual Operating Plan and forecasting process
  • Provide business intelligence on business unit performance, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Conduct deep dives and complex analysis to understand variances to budget, prior quarters and prior years (bridges).
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization of reporting.
  • Perform or lead special projects and ad-hoc financial reporting as required.


Experience and Skills
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Finance & Accounting experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Desire to formulate and drive process improvements, with confidence to challenge the status quo.
  • Hands-on experience in providing financial analysis to drive key business decisions within the context of a matrix organization and/or corporate environment.
  • High level of flexibility and strong work ethic with the goal of getting the job done.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in the accounting & finance field.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to move about a large manufacturing facility.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Most of the work is performed in a typical office environment with no major sources of discomfort. Essentially a normal controlled working environment with noise levels within acceptable safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions.

TRAVEL
  • Periodic domestic travel may be required.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain security clearance which requires US citizenship.
