Job Summary: In this challenging role you will provide direct support to the General Counsel and executive leadership team in various practice areas (real estate law, business law, collections, compliance and governance).

  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Work Location: MSHS Inc., 3190 SW 4th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL
  • Salary Range: $75,000 - $86,000 per year, based on skills and experience

Requirements

Primary (Essential) Duties:
  • Manage, organize and maintain physical and electronic files
  • Assist attorneys in prioritizing competing deadlines
  • Prepare contracts, negotiate contracts, & arrange for their execution
  • Communicate professionally attorneys, support staff and clients


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and terminology.
  • Proficiency in legal research methods and online legal research tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


Key Performance Indicators (KPI's):
  • Document Management Accuracy: Assess the accuracy and completeness of legal documents prepared by paralegals, such as contracts, briefs, and pleadings.
  • Research Skills: Measure the quality and thoroughness of legal research.
  • Compliance Adherence: Assess the extent to which the paralegal ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies in their work.
  • Accuracy of Legal Updates: Measure the accuracy and timeliness of legal updates, ensuring they stay informed about relevant changes in laws and regulations.
  • Ethical conduct and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.


Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience in paralegal studies or a related field.
  • Paralegal certification or relevant professional credentials may be preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience is required.
