Currently, we're on the lookout for a full-time Senior Roadway Design Engineer to join our esteemed Colorado team, with the flexibility to be based in either Denver or Colorado Springs. In this role, you'll dive into a variety of stimulating highway, municipal, and county design projects while leading a team of two junior Roadway designers.

What you will do:- Spearheading project management efforts, from conceptualization through final design, for transportation projects.
- Leading or overseeing the design and preparation of plans and specifications.
- Cultivating strong relationships with potential clients, identifying upcoming project opportunities, and collaborating on project pursuits.
- Engaging in business development activities, crafting compelling proposals, and delivering top-notch client service.
- Taking charge of recruiting, supervising, training, and managing the workload of other engineers and professional staff.
- Coordinating work efforts and conducting reviews to ensure project excellence.
- Making sound decisions that align with business objectives and goals through logical reasoning.
- Mentoring and guiding less experienced staff to foster their growth and development.
- And of course, being adaptable to handle any other duties as needed to support our team's success.
What you'll bring:- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Licensure as a Professional Engineer in Colorado with 5 to 15 years of experience in civil/transportation engineering.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing transportation projects as a project manager/design engineer.
- Proven experience overseeing the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E) packages.
- Proficiency in common design software such as Autodesk Civil3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, and InRoads.
