Tax Director
Atlanta, GA (Preferred)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Tax Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in tax consulting services, with specific expertise in tax compliance and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This role is critical to ensuring our company's adherence to tax laws and regulations while optimizing our tax strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Offer expert guidance and advice on various tax-related matters, including but not limited to income tax, corporate tax, sales tax, and payroll tax.
  • Provide thorough and up-to-date guidance on tax laws and regulations to ensure the company's compliance.
  • Develop and implement effective tax strategies tailored to the company's needs.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and provide actionable recommendations that drive our business forward.
  • Stay up to date on all relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure the company remains in full compliance and takes advantage of any potential tax benefits.
  • Review tax returns for accuracy and adherence to filing deadlines.
  • Assist in resolving tax disputes and audits, if necessary.
  • Conduct detailed research and analysis of tax issues and provide well-founded recommendations.
  • Proactively mitigate risks associated with tax obligations and optimize the company's financial outcomes.
  • This role will work closely with the our accounting team and third-party tax preparers to complete all ongoing tax-related requirements
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive tax information

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, tax, or other closely related field
  • CPA and/or EA prefered
  • Extensive background in providing tax consulting services.
  • Proven experience in tax compliance and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective tax strategies.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing tax returns.
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
