WHO YOU AREWe are seeking a collaborative, adaptable, and highly knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Compliance Analyst. This role reports to the Managing Director of Information Systems and Security and is tasked with building a compliance framework and establishing companywide policies. This is a NY based role and requires a candidate with proximity to work from our office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Collaboration and Partnership: You will collaborate and partner with department leads in Operations, Finance, People, Data Analytics, and external stakeholders. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will advise and monitor data control activities to meet legal requirements. Performing various privacy tasks to support company-wide goals and objectives and advising management on possible risks.
Contractual Compliance: Collaborating with Finance and Operations leads to align on compliance regarding Crossmedia's contractual agreements and managing any audits of those contractual arrangements carried out by third-party audit firms to safeguard the integrity of agency data and other proprietary information.
- Support development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective compliance program, with specific media and analytics data knowledge.
- Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence.
- Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify weaknesses.
- Evaluate business activities (e.g., investments) to assess compliance risk.
- Collaborate with 3rd party auditors (internal and external audits) and People team when needed.
- Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation.
- Educate and train Crossmedians in industry regulations and best practices.
- Address concerns or questions on legal compliance.
- Deliver thought leadership internally and externally including POVs surrounding industry and regulatory changes.
- Provide day-to-day leadership reviewing contract terms relevant to data protection.
QUALIFICATIONS- 3-5 years of experience in compliance management, in a similar industry including advertising, media, marketing or related technology.
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to data privacy and protection.
- Experience with certification frameworks like ISO 27001 as well as regulatory frameworks like CCPA and GDPR is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CIPP, CISA) is a plus.
LOCATION: This role requires a candidate with proximity to our NY office. We offer a hybrid work setting with employees working both onsite and from home.
SALARY: $100k+ range. Commensurate with experience. Compensation is determined on the skills, qualifications, certifications, tenure in the industry and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position.
