Job Description
Who We Are:

Founded by Greg Street who has led AAA teams for over 20 years, our new studio Fantastic Pixel Castle (FPC) is building an original fantasy IP from scratch. Players will be regularly engaged in our development process from early stages as part of our open and transparent studio culture, and we aim to craft an IP that will be worthy of their passion and dedication for decades to come.

We are committed to being a fully remote and global studio, so that we can hire world-class people and have them live their best lives. We think top-heavy bureaucracy stifles creativity, so we aim to stay small as we focus on delivering a game and a world that you will love. We are fully-funded, and the team will share in all of our studio's successes.
Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Producer to join our team of producers in the early development stages of a groundbreaking MMORPG. The Senior Producer will collaborate with other producers and cross-functional teams to oversee the production process, manage key aspects of development, and ensure the successful delivery of the project from conception through to launch and beyond. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in game development, a deep understanding of MMORPG mechanics, and a proven track record of managing complex internal and external pipelines.
Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership:
    • Work alongside a team of producers to lead and manage the production process, including coordination of multi-disciplinary efforts.
    • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with other producers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of milestones.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Act as a key liaison between the production team, executive management, and external stakeholders, alongside other producers.
    • Develop rituals and tools to help a global and remote team share knowledge, coordinate efforts, and learn from each other
    • Foster a collaborative environment, promoting clear and effective communication across all departments.
  • Milestone Management:
    • Collaboratively define and track project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies with the executive team.
    • Advise on team structure and resourcing to accomplish milestone and product goals
    • Foster a spirit of healthy urgency to ensure that all project goals are met within the specified scope, time, and budget constraints while maintaining a healthy team.
    • Implement and maintain production processes and pipelines to optimize efficiency and quality.
    • Oversee the quality assurance process in conjunction with other producers to ensure the game meets high standards of quality and performance.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and enact mitigation strategies in collaboration with the production team.
    • Proactively resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that may impede project progress and team health.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design documents, production schedules, and status reports, in collaboration with other producers.
    • Provide regular updates to executive management on project status, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Experience:
    • Proven track record of shipping multiple titles
    • Experience coordinating and leading remote and global teams
    • Experience working on a live service game, preferably an MMORPG
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent project management skills, with experience using project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
    • Deep understanding of MMORPG mechanics, systems, and player communities.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with game development engines and tools (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
  • Previous experience working with remote teams and external vendors.
